INVITING ALL ARTISTS IN ONTARIO!

Enter to the Live Art Competition Event in Downtown Brampton... A Canvas for You! One standard and stamped 16"x20" canvas or 15"x20" – 140 lb watercolour paper will be provided to each registrant. This call for entry is open to all artists 18 years old and up, and youth artists 13-18 living in Ontario. We encourage you to REGISTER Before August 5, 2023, for Early Bird Entry fees.

Conditions of Entry - Adults (See below for Youth Conditions of Entry)

1. This call for entry is open to all artists 18 Years+, living in Ontario.

2. EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION: A non-refundable Entry Fee of $40 will be required BEFORE August 5 2023. After August 5, 2023 the non-refundable entry fee will be $50.

3. REGISTRATION & PAYMENT - online registration starts on June 30, 2023. In person registration is available at BACI Gifts, 37 Queen St. West. Downtown Brampton.

4. This event is a rain or shine event. Please come prepared in case of inclement weather. Interior space will be available.

5. Artists can paint a subject of their choice within Downtown Brampton and surrounding areas. A map will be provided at registration to all entrants.

6. One standard and stamped 16"x20" canvas or 15"x20" - 140' watercolour paper will be provided to each registrant.

7. Artists must bring their own equipment and materials, including a matt and support for watercolour paintings. Please bring protection for surfaces at the location of your preference. (i.e. drop cloth)

8. Display of work for judging details needed. (i.e. No frames will be allowed on pieces submitted for judging. For works on watercolour, matt is permitted.)

9. Schedule of Events:

9am-10am: Registration at Gallery 35. 35 Queen St. West, located in Downtown Brampton, ON. First come, first serve.

10am: Artists START painting in Downtown Brampton.

1pm: Artwork MUST BE SUBMITTED BACK at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West, Downtown Brampton.

2pm-3:30pm: Judging

2:45pm-3:30pm: Paint the Public Community Canvas with John, and artwork viewing at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West, Downtown Brampton. The public is cordially invited.

4pm-5pm: Closing Ceremony at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West, Downtown Brampton. The public is cordially invited.

10. The top 10 finalists to be announced during the closing ceremony and final winners to be announced at the September 16, 2023 awards reception.

11. The winners will receive:

First Place: $800
Second Place: $500
Third Place: $200

12. Jurors: Updated information will be posted prior to the event.

13. Live Art Competition Brampton and partners will not assume any responsibility for loss or damage of any artwork.

14. Artwork and Artists names will be published on Live Art Competition Brampton and partners' websites and used on social media by Live Art Comptetition Brampton and partners.

15. Sale of artwork is the responsibility of the artist.
