REVISED SCHEDULE FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION

Considering the extreme cold alert and forecasted frigid temperatures for December 31, the City of Brampton will offer a reduced New Year’s Eve celebration. The health and safety of attendees, performers, volunteers and staff are of great concern and contributed to this decision. Neighbouring municipalities including Toronto and Mississauga have reduced their outdoor programming for New Year’s Eve as well.

The revised schedule for New Year’s Eve is as follows:

  •  7pm to 11pm – Children’s Dance Party in City Hall Atrium
  • 7pm to 11pm – Children’s Craft in City Hall Conservatory
  • 11pm to 12 am – Performances by Pryde and The Sheepdogs in Garden Square
  • 12am – Fireworks in Garden Square

The 9pm fireworks show has been cancelled.

The Gage Park skating trail will be open all evening.

Four transit warming stations will be available for attendees on Main Street and the Rose Theatre will also be open.

Road Closures for Downtown Brampton: Roads will be closed starting at 10pm, rather than 6pm, and will reopen at 1am.
