Public Notice : Downtown Design Charrette July 18th, 19th and 20th, 2022
Public Notice
The City of Brampton is hosting a Downtown Design Charrette to develop a vision illustrating the long-term future for its downtown. The Design Charrette will build upon the work completed as part of the Brampton 2040 Vision, Brampton Plan (new Official Plan), and current Term of Council Priorities. The Planning Partnership are the consultants leading the Design Charrette.
The three-day Downtown Design Charrette is a combination of virtual and in-person sessions held on July 18th, 19th and 20th, 2022. Through collaborative multi-day sessions, the community will be engaged in this design exercise to improve, enhance, and transform Downtown Brampton. The Design Charrette days are organized as follows:
1. The Design Charrette will begin with a virtual public kick-off session on July 18th at 6:30 pm to 8 pm to provide context to the Integrated Downtown Plan, introduce the purpose of the Design Charrette and discuss how we can improve the Downtown over the next 30 years.
Please join us and register to attend the event to share your vision for a dynamic Downtown Brampton: https://brampton.webex.com/brampton/j.php?RGID=r81a25b797e28710b004eca2a8e84db0f

2. Two in-person drop-in public sessions will be held on Tuesday, July 19th and Wednesday, July 20th at 6:00pm to 7:30 pm at the Alderlea located at 40 Elizabeth St. Brampton. Open to all residents, stakeholders, and businesses. Refreshments will be provided.
i. Tuesday, July 19th, the drop-in session will be an opportunity to review the drawings, maps and visioning work.
ii. The final Design Charrette day, Wednesday July 20th, the drop-in session will be an opportunity to review the design framework and learn how it can be implemented moving forward.
