Live Art Competition Set for August 25th in Downtown Brampton

Brampton, ON…We are very excited to celebrate the third annual LIVE ART COMPETITION on the streets of the downtown core. “Brampton’s arts community is very passionate about the cultural scene in the downtown core and hope to see all artists, family and friends out with your paint brushes on Saturday August 25th.” Says Grettel Comas, organizer of the Live Art Competition.

The event is presented by INZOLA’s Art Endowment Funds in partnership with the Downtown BIA, PAMA along with a number of community sponsors including The Arts of John Cutruzzola, Baci Gifts, Beaux Arts, CCV Insurance, Inzola, Algoma University, Deborah Kenny Jewellery, Peel Art-Museum and Archives (PAMA), Your Digital Advantage and Razor Creative.

This event is being brought to downtown Brampton through the vision of local artist and business owner John Cutruzzola.
Artists will be painting and competing for first, second and third prize cash awards in two categories oil or acrylic and watercolour. Guests 18 years or older are invited to take part in the competition. Beginning at 9 a.m. and running until 5 p.m. Registration fee: $30.00. PRIZES:
– First place prize: $800.00
– Second place prize: $400.00
– Third place prize: DINNER FOR 2

One 16” x 20” canvas or 14″ x 20″ watercolour paper will be provided to each artist, artists must
bring their own equipment and materials. The closing ceremony begins at 4 p.m. in Daily Times Square located at 33 Queen Street in downtown Brampton.
