On Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, we formally unveiled the newly transformed Vivian Lane. Along with the City of Brampton and 8 80 Cities we have transformed Vivian Lane into a vibrant destination for people of all ages as part of the broader Activate Downtown Brampton program. There is now a colourful new ground mural designed and produced by local artist Abiola Idowu Abiola Idowu Art who was assisted by many community volunteers. The laneway also features new landscaping, seating, sandboxes, yarn bombing and lighting. The laneway has been programmed with a variety of activities for all ages including musical performances, art workshops, dementia-friendly community experiences, chess lessons, a pop-up night market, and a wellness market. Thank you to the Brampton community at large and to all our volunteers and our stellar team for their participation and support. Follow our posts and stories because there is more to come in the next few weeks! Visit our event calendar to find out what’s going on now!
