PAMA Talks: The Hindu Journey in Canada and The World Wars

Join PAMA and Hindu Heritage Foundation Canada for an afternoon celebrating the history of the Hindu community in Canada, from the Komagata Maru to present-day. We will explore the legal and social challenges the community faced in its early stages, the emergence as an integral part of the community and contributions in WWI and WWII. The talk will feature community members whose family members have contributed to or fought in the World Wars as well as played an important role in the community. Drop-in between 1 - 2 p.m. for refreshments and an artifact display. The talk will start at 2 p.m. Registration recommended, space is limited. Included with PAMA General Admission (admission can be purchased in person on the day of your visit). Members are free.
