Downtown Brampton BIA Launches Strategic Plan 2022-2025

BRAMPTON, ON (February 23, 2022) – After several months of workshops and consultations with over 25 downtown business members, staff, councillors and City of Brampton staff, the Downtown Brampton BIA officially launches the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. This document will support Board of Directors decision-making and staff activities to ensure that the Downtown Brampton BIA is moving in the right direction.

The Downtown Brampton BIA serves its retail, restaurant, professional services, property owner members, and the community at large, by providing beautification, marketing and advocacy. When the businesses are thriving, the community is thriving.

A strong, tight-knit community of business owners, property owners, community groups and government can create a vibrant and healthy downtown that people will want to visit over and over again. When we all support each other to strengthen those ties, our true colours and flavours show through: Downtown Brampton is an amazing place to be!

Mission

Our mission is to create the best environment for business success and positive community experience.

The strategy has three major pillars:

  1. Membership Focus: We have an active and engaged membership.
  2. Marketing Focus: People know who we are.
  3. Outreach Focus: We support each other and our community.

strategic plan cover strategic plan goals

The Strategic Plan 2022-2025 was developed to include a series of goals and objectives along with tools and a timeline to measure and ensure success. The communication plan provides opportunity for feedback to the Board, the BIA members, City Council and the community at large.

“The creation of this guiding document is the result of the dedication of our members, partners and neighbours to the success of Downtown Brampton. As we start to come out of the pandemic and into a new phase of long-term construction, a clear plan is more important than ever.”
