Downtown Brampton BIA Announces Free Summer Music Series as Part of Activate Downtown Brampton Program

The Downtown Brampton BIA is thrilled to announce a series of free musical activations taking place in downtown Brampton as part of the Activate Downtown Brampton program. This exciting program aims to bring vibrant energy and community engagement to the heart of the city. From June 8th until September 30th, 2023, residents and visitors can enjoy a wide array of musical performances and community activations.
The Activate Downtown Brampton program will feature an impressive lineup of talented artists, creating an immersive and entertaining experience for all attendees. These activations will take place at various locations throughout downtown Brampton, inviting the community to explore and celebrate the vibrant arts and culture, dining and shopping in the area.
The festivities commence on June 8th with The Matthew and Richard Jazz Duo [Instagram: @mrjazzduo] captivating audiences at Garden Square in front of Segovia Coffee Co. from 5:30-7:30pm. This dynamic duo will delight listeners with their mesmerizing improvisations and captivating performances.
On June 9th, Vesuvio Ristorante will host Carmen Spada [Instagram: @carmen.spada], who will serenade attendees with his melodic tunes from 6:30-9pm. Visitors can indulge in delicious cuisine while enjoying an evening of enchanting music.
The lively melodies continue on June 9th as Ablett & Cooper [Website: ablettandcooper.ca/home] take the stage at Vivian Lane from 11am-1pm. Known for their innovative fusion of genres, this duo will bring their infectious energy and exceptional musical talent to create an unforgettable experience.
As the sun begins to set on June 9th, The Downtown Brampton Food District will come alive with the passionate performance of Angelica Zavala [Instagram: @angelicazavalamusic] from 6-8pm. Attendees can enjoy culinary delights while being serenaded by Angelica’s soulful vocals and electrifying stage presence.
The Activate Downtown Brampton program is set to continue until the end of September, offering a wide range of musical performances and community activations. Residents, visitors, and music enthusiasts are encouraged to stay tuned for upcoming events and take part in this celebration of art and culture in downtown Brampton.
Activate Downtown Brampton, which enters its second year of bringing fun and free activations to downtown Brampton is supported by the Government of Canada’s Healthy Communities Initiative and aims to create vibrant and engaging spaces that foster community spirit and well-being.
