COVID-19 Update March 16, 2020
Dear Downtown Brampton BIA business members and stakeholders,
The Downtown BRAMPTON BIA continues to monitor the Region of Peel health updates on COVID -19 (Novel Coronavirus) and recommend all downtown BIA members stay informed. Further to the announcement by the Government of Canada and the Region of Peel – Public Health, Canadians are being asked to practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
For this reason the Downtown Brampton BIA will be suspending all of our meetings and workshops from Monday March 16, 2020 until April 5, 2020. In addition to this the BIA’s Easter Egg Hunt will be cancelled. Staff at the Downtown Brampton BIA will be working from home and will be accessible by phone and email and will be available for all member inquiries.
As many of you know, on Friday March 13, 2020 the City of Brampton announced the temporary closing the City Hall, City programming and all public events from March 16-April 5, 2020 to be cancelled This includes The Rose Theatre, PAMA, community centers, public libraries. The City of Brampton will maintain all essential City services to the community.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include;
- Fever
- Cough
- Muscle aches and tiredness
- Difficulty breathing
- Less commonly: sore throat, headache and diarrhea have been reported.
